Whatever happened to German tennis? They might be as bad as American tennis these days. Petz, Berrer, Brands, Beck, Kamke, Bachinger, Brown are all Challenger fodder. Just Kohl in the top 30. Becker is still hanging on for dear life.

Guez is French, and the event is in France, but the main reason was extreme poor form of Beck in the latest matches.

Yes After Becker, No German men tennis
There are some popular German players, but not for their success. Brown is a clown, Kohli is good and talented, but he mainly earns money from fixing games( imo), rather than prize money, also there are bunch of indoor players...Maybe only Tommy Haas there was after Becker noticable.
To say the truth, i never liked Becker as well. Strangely he was playing.Too many dives, etc... I was more a fan of Lendl in those years. Of course i was a kid and i was not betting. When you do not bet you start to have your favorite players. When you bet , you favor where the money is.

Maybe it is related with the genetics. Germany is good in team sports, good organization and tactics. Tennis is more based on physical/athletical qualities and abilities of an individual. Height, speed. power. reflexes, vision, control of the body etc...Slavic countries like old Czechoslovakia and the old Yugoslavian countries have the greatest contribute to the sport in both women and men for a reason i guess.

I probably do what most of the people do here, watch tennis
I do no extraordinary research. I follow from normal sites like tennisexplorer, etc but the most important thing is to watch tennis games, as much as possible. Watch the players closely. Trying to know more about their recent form, mentally and physically. Analyze their body language. That is very important for live-betting. Guess how much they want to win each particular game. Only the most stupid player aims to win every match he plays in the season. Sometimes watching a losing player tells you to back him in the very next game, no matter he is a dog or not, sometimes vice versa, you fade the champion. Stuff like that. And never forget, this business is a highly manipulated one
