I partially agree. You can trust Venus for the first round or two depending on who she is playing. She still has a ton of talent. However, she tires easily due to her illness. Wozniacki is kind of the same. I trust her in the first round or so. I think she lost this week because she didn't care too much. Kuala Lumpur is a small measly little tournament with no names and she just didn't care. Notice McIlroy pulled out of his golf tourney? Maybe they just needed a little get together?

Joker won. Close as hell tho. Berdych cracked at some really bad times. Had me nervous. I also had Jokers as play #23 of 24 in an open parlay of basketball and tennis. Also, the tennis streaming this year has been fukkin terrible.

When you have a bet on someone, their win always seems close, even if he's wining 6-1 5-0 you sweat when going 0-30 (atleast I usually do). So there's no surprise for this evaluation...Tbh, I found it quite close, too...Berdych could easily finish the first set if he did not net the obvious easy-ass high volley on the net when defending breakball...he also had a lot of chances to break in second.

Match statistics don't tell the story of a match. Berdych up 4-3 and misses an easy volley that would have made it 5-3 and just 1 game away from a set. That doesn't show up in match stats. There are big points in a match like this and Djokovic won them. Djokovic had only 1 more break point than Berdych. However, Djokovic lost only and Berdych only won 1.

The stats don't tell the story of a match. Anyone who watched it knows that Berdych choked away the end of the 1st set. He couldn't win the big points. The big points are where you win and lose matches. Haas lost to Gulbis today because he couldn't win the big points. He had triple break point and the end of the 3rd set. If he had broken he could have served for the match, but he lost all 3. On the 3rd break point he had an easy overhead smash but he hit the top of the net and it went out. Stats don't show things like that.

I agree stats don't show things like that, and I never said they show everything. What I did say is exactly what you can see above: They are objective. That's why they make a fine complement to one's picture of a match.

I have to admit you're more right than I am though. If djokovic dominated the match, it was certainly less so rather than more. However, I disagree it was anything like "close as hell". A lot of points and the playmaking itself were rather close, though.

No one is. Ferrer is unusually consistent in my opinion though.

Playing with clay does tend to make a racquet out of things when you go back to being hardcore, but out of all the players I would've expected Ferrer to have the least trouble with that.
