#36Well, it seems that you are also speculating that there are no other players that have had their earned betpoints stolen. Whose speculation do you think might be closer to the truth? I also had mine stolen while a member of SBR, but did not bother to fill out a complaint. If SBR members don't think it is worth the time and energy to file a complaint, how many non-SBR players are out there that don't know about the forums? ( Only 1% of gamblers are forum members according to you, so do a little speculating )Comment -

#37Well, not exactly. Since DSI is willing to return stolen betpoints once an SBR member complains, DSI admits that the theft is wrong. It is only OK if no one complains.Originally posted by HedgeHogSBR has the same points program policy as DSI--they can take them back at their choosing w/o giving you the opportunity to cash out what you already have. Not saying I agree with it, but both DSI and SBR believe it's w/i their rights to do so.Comment -

#393 posters in this thread confirm (not including me since you are predisposed to not believe anything I write) that this happened to them. How many more would you like to see?Originally posted by SBR Lou
If there are other players in this situation, they can write to SBR. If we can confirm that this is in fact not simply an error on one account manager's part as it's believed to be, we'll of course follow-up with the book.Comment -

#40Not everyone... I still haven't heard anything yet...Originally posted by duritoThis is correct. Every person that complains to sbr gets their pts returned (not the ability to earn them just the ones that were stolen). Every person that does not complain to sbr does not get their pts returned.

#41DSI did credit my account and cashed me out of all 300K+ points. As pointed out they are not giving me anymore.
Thanks to the DSI rep for helping me and seeing it was taken care of promptly. Thank you sir.

Lou - Whenever someone steals from me, I feel very proud and boast to others that I've been robbed.
I would never consider criticizing someone who steals from me.
Lou is on the lowest level of forum mod and a mod posting the sort of things Lou does is normally found on the RX or other "recreational" sportsbetting forums that routinely defend thieving books.

#46We do honor earned Betpoints. Only in cases of outright and proven fraud is there a possibility of loss of BetPoints. In cases where a member is no longer eligible for the Betpoint program, it is that members resposibility to contact us in order to let us know how those Betpoints are to be allocated. Betpoints can be used for a variety of items and services and the decision on Betpoint use is strictly up to the members themselves.Originally posted by ScooterLou - " What's hard to understand is why it's not worn with a badge of honor; instead of met with such scathing criticism."

#51I asked for a 3000 dollar check because I thought it was the cheapest way for me
Well I used my bet points 65 dollars worth, Fair enough right?
Then they send me a check an International check
Not a *********** or cashiers check
the check said 3000 only
Okay, I take it to my bank
they tell me They have to send it in thru what is called collections because it is an International check
I say okay then when its finally in my account 3 weeks later
Its only 2,900 Not 3000 and my bank charged me 30 bucks
I was like, what the hell is going on?
The International bank charged me 100 dollars to wire the money into my account.
So this safe cheap route ended up costing me in reality
65.00 in bet points
100 dollars international bank fee
30 dollars my bank fee
195 dollars to pull out 3 lousy grand
Im not happy about this, truthfully I think this International bank or FRONT for a bank is owned by DSI and the Cris group, and they just milked an extra hundred off me to cash the check they sent to me.
They had to know the banking regulations
Why not just send a Cashiers Check or ***********?
Because then they cant bilk you for an extra hundred.Comment -

#53If he is willing to pay his points for a check, he should be able to get what he bargained for. What I am wondering about is the question of whether it was a check or a wire that he was supposed to receive? That does sound like a rip-off to me.Originally posted by bobbywavesWhy didn't you apply for DC & withdraw using the cheapest method? It would have only cost you pennies on the dollar.Comment -

It's not worth it for me. Several problems. A)$25 upfront fee, then a whole slew of other possible fees. Monthly fees, inactivity fees, etc. B)I'd have to spend the money rather than receiving it. I don't have anything to spend 3k on right now, so it would take several months at the very least, as opposed to just depositing a check.
I thought about doing the DC, but the fact that it would cost me money anyway and I wouldn't be getting the money made the difference.
It took me over 4 months to get DSI to send money. I wasn't going to jerk around with a DC, where they could pull more shenanigans.
The monthly fee is only if you are going to keep a balance on the card. You can use the card at an ATM to get cash. You get the card in a couple weeks and after you have it you don't have to pay the upfront $25 fee or wait two weeks. Just cash out to card and then withdraw from the card. Only fees are ATM and a $2 load feeComment
