I recently had a mini hot streak on Bodog and turned 400 to 4k. I have been using bodog for a while now. I have made multiple deposits with them via direct bank transfer and never had a problem. Now recently they have told me that my last deposit of 400 was rejected and they froze my account and said they took the amount i deposited (400) out of my ecash. Then they said something like my winnings were voided. Thats 4k! Is there anything i can do here? I checked my with my bank to see what was up, and it turns out the transfer was for 400.69 not 400. Since my account only had 400 in it, the charge was returned to bodog! My bank used to allow for overdrafts until i opted out of their "over draft protection plan". So now for this .69 i may lose my 4k! is there any way i can explain this to bodog and have them refund my winnings? Any help would be greatly appreciated. i AM SOOOOO STRESSED OUT RIGHT NOW!

You're out of luck I would think. Pretty standard that if you have a returned item, all winnings from monies that the book never received are forfitted.
The book sees it as a freeroll on your part.
Moral of the story: NEVER write a check for EXACTLY $400.00 when you have EXACTLY $400.00 in your bank account.Comment -

as much as I sympathize with your situation since it had happened to me too with an e-wallet deposit with Pinnacle, I am afraid you have zero recourse here. Like you I had lost a couple K in winnings and like you I never bothered to read the rules. It's a standard policy among the book that for WHATEVER reason the deposit fails to clear, all winnings are void. You have zero case here unfortunately. I have made multiple deposits using Bodog's Direct Bank Transfer and yes they charge you the $0.69 at the end of your amount. It's clearly indicated when you initiate the transfer.
As for your question: what wouldve happened had you lost your "deposit" money with bets? Since the deposit never cleared, it doesnt exist. So my take is: either you redeposit the $400 and it clears and Bodog would credit you with $400 or you don't redeposit and that's the end of matters with this deposit. So no, you don't get billed twice per say. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

seems like any book would try to get away with this kind of stuff. that's why these forums are so popular. fill out the complaint. hopefully they would rather pay you than get the bad press about stiffing you under these circumstabces. if they don't pay up mention what happened to you every chance you get. make sure they pay 1 way or another.Comment -

Books have rules to avoid winnings from uncleared funds, because if they don't, they are vulnerable to bank fraud or betting fraud. You may still have a chance if the book does not see any fraud in this but don't get your hope high though.Comment -
you may not think it is stiffing but i do. you should not be able to take back $4000 because of a .69 mistake. if he had lost they would have wanted a deposit to cover the $400. and should get it. the palyer should not stiff the book either. they write the rules to protect themselves in any circumstance. the best books also use a little common sense when things like this happen. 1 sportsbook that comes to mind is WAGERCHIEF. the rules are there but common sense is also used when problems come up. the hardest part of gambling should be picking winners. not trying to get the money from winners you already picked.Comment -

No offense bud but this is shaping out to be a freeroll scam here. Intentionally overdraw your account make a couple of quick all in plays if you lose so what it only cost you a $35 overdraft fee, if you win you file a complaint with SBR.
IMO if you were not trying to scam a freeroll this is your fault every book I have ever deposited with (and I know for a fact bodog does) informs you before you accept the transaction that there will be a few extra cent added on to the charge. If you accept this without reading it is your fault.

update: I contacted bodog, and they basically gave me different options to get the money collected. First way was some phone card website but that didnt work. Then they made me send credit card verification. Now im going to go to ** and wire them the case. All this shit for .69 **** my life lol. Lesson learned from now on i over deposit. In any case the representative told me that all the bets i made earler would still be in effect once they receive the funds. She told me not ot mention it was for bodog at the **. Can i get in any trouble? Also, Anyone know if wiring is a legit source for them? I dont want to wire money to some representative's account and not the bodog account. The address was in the philippines. LAstly i hope she was telling the truth when she said my account would be restored the way it was and my pending bets would still be intact. Listen hater, no one is trying to free roll shit. I been betting with bodog constantly. THey have had no problem taking money out of my account and even charging me upfront for the cash every time i deposit cash. This happened to be an isolated incident. I'm hopping through cirvcles here trying to get them their money, and i dont even know if im going to still have the money i won. Not only that but i also play poker on their site, and i do quite nicely. I make bets every day, and not all in bets pal. So get your facts strate.Comment -

No offense Mister Shady, but your story is really... shady. Perhaps you made an honest mistake, but you can see what Sharpcat is talking about, right? If I was a book and you tried to freeroll me, innocently or not, you aren't getting paid....because if you lost, you weren't going to spend the time to wire them $400 that you owe them. If BoDog pays you out, more power to them, but you have to see Sharpcat's point here before flipping out at him.

All of you backing the book in this case are crazy. If he had lost this money, bodog would be on his ass for the money when it didnt clear and blacklist him if he didnt pay up.
What should happen here, and what appears to be happening, is he needs to send the resend the 400.69 and keeps his winnings.....just as he would keep his 400 loss if he had busted, they wouldve asked him to redeposit.
It has happened to me before because of the nature of US banks randomly they just denied an instant deposit one time. I redeposited using another method, all was fine.Comment
