#317Lets talk about KYC for a minute. A bank requires this on DEPOSITS all the time. So Betcris/Bookmaker did not ask for all this BS when you put the money in. ONLY when you want to take it out. They are an Illegal book working in the US. So KYC is ONLY there to delay giving you your money. USA does not get to make laws about what is legal for foreign businesses. Its a legal business like any other registered and licensed overseas. Characterizing it as illegal is simply xenophobic ignorance.
And lastly, this poster is not located in the USA.
Not here to defend offshore bookmakers, but a properly licenced one like they are are not "illegal"..Comment -

#319They have licenses in several jurisdictions. Those licenses require them to KYC every customer from any country, as they do.

Can you name any federal law that says a legal foreign business cannot accept Americans?
Can you name any law, federal or state, that says it is illegal for you to choose to bet with them?
If you can't, on what basis are you labeling them "illegal"?
As I understand it, in most states, they cannot solicit business without breaching a STATE law which is effectively invalid and unenforceable against a foreign business. If they don't advertise to regulated state residents, there is nothing else on the books to say they are doing anything wrong. Even under US law.
Do you know who IBIA are?
You had better tell them they have somehow slipped up and allowed an illegal bookie into their membership https://ibia.bet/who-we-are/
Maybe let JD Duarte know what laws you say he is breaking too! I am sure he will be pleased at your expertise so he can stop wasting money on licenses all over Sth America.
And one last thing. You had better warn the NFL and MLB that one of their official partners is an illegal bookmaker.

Prosecutors: 11 charged in illegal sports betting operation
Prosecutors said the defendants operated the Red44 sports betting organization, which they said utilized an offshore server located in Costa Rica for its activities. The 114-count indictment was filed in Birmingham and includes charges of tax evasion, conspiring to operate an illegal sports-betting organization and money laundering

#324Another 100k Bookmaker disabled story (7 months)
Greetings all!
Hoping I can get some advice here. I've periodically lurked this board for a few years now (often comes up on google searches when I search up any book I play- betonline, bov, betdsi, betus, etc). I've been stuck in the KYC loop with bookmaker now since spring and occasionally look up if anyone has had any issues to my extreme and found this thread. https://www.sportsbookreview.com/for...eone-help.html
I'm not here to call bookmaker a scam, they're 100% not. I've seen them on oddsjam and seen plenty of others using them and heard mostly only good things. I had no issues with them the 2 months I was on there and next to Betonline think they're one of the most user friendly books when it comes to customer service/not limiting high rollers. I'll attach some screenshots of the finances of my account. Long story short, was working with a pretty big bank roll after a successful NFL/NBA season (on other books) and noticed bookmaker was one of the books with massive movements before games, as well as favorable lines for players out of break. Follow lines during the Sunday/Monday night football games this week and you'll see what I mean! I had a lot of up and down luck with this book and had built a 90k balance (from about 70k total deposits)
Fast forward to last April when my account had become disabled shortly after my trip to Spain (returning back to the states). I had given Bookmaker live chat a heads up I would be in a different country and they said they would notate my account. I understand Spain is on the restricted country list but they said it was fine as long as I'm a U.S resident. They've never expressed any concern with my play/activity or even location but I did get the account disabled out of the blue and instructed to contact kyc@bookmaker.eu. Similar to the thread I referenced, asked to jump through multiple hoops until I could no longer get a reply from them. My 20+ attempts at live chats went from "there's no time frame" to "you have to wait for them". It's been 7 months. I did read someone say suggest calling in and talking to a manager but I can't find a number for bookmaker, only justbet (which I believe to be a sister site). It didn't appear that Stephon from the other thread got a reply until he was pretty upset/sent them a twitter post lol which isn't really my style but I'm desperate at this point. Of course being "out" 90k hasn't been the best feeling but I still am maintaining a healthy bankroll thankfully on mainly other offshores that have been doing well (as well as this crypto pump!). Getting what's rightfully mine in any facet would be a big help.
I do think this is a situation where I need the attention of the right person/team/entity as it seems that kyc email has just stopped responding to me, no matter what I say. They even asked to schedule an interview at first which I obliged and then they never responded with a time. Thank you all.
Not quite sure how to upload pics on here if anyone can assist quick (I see the insert image button but it my links aren't showing in post preview. I can do gyazo links too, sorry!

Thanks mod for the approval and like he said a week isn't a long time to wait at all. I've been going on 7 almost 8 months now. You can chat them and CS will verify your balance is still active (I've done this a few times to make sure). So your $ isn't gone but yeah I'm in the same boat I'm still unable to get my money out. Unless there's some trick I suppose the answer is to just keep emailing (though it hasn't worked for me).Comment -

you obviously have some kind of hard-on for offshore books. Illegal this illegal that. Give it a rest. BookMaker is a great book. I have been betting there forever. Tons of people do. No one is forcing you to bet offshore.
Reputable offshore books are having their best years in long time since the US allowed States to determine if they want their people to be able to bet. There are plenty of reasons for Americans to bet offshore and let's not blow smoke up anyone's ass, most bettors have more that one book they make bets with.
lastly, so you have to take a selfie with your id. OMG how inconvenient that is. You got to get up off the couch, take a bus to the nearest Office Max or Kinkos to make a photocopy and then find a fax machine to send it. Or, or you can just whip out your smartphone, id and be done with it in under a minute.Comment -

ya me too. They have been around 30 years and are not gonna rip off someone's $50 deposit. If they, or any other company, make a mistake (which can happen), just let them know and they will make it right. Why wouldn't they? I am not saying there are never any legitimate complaints. Of course there are. There always is when human beings are involved. Offshore books aren't immune.
I used to work for a couple offshore books in CR. 99% of people who complain are just guys who lost all their money gambling, are broke, and want to blame someone for it.Comment -

#332So today it's been 10 days and still no verification and no response. When chatting with customer care, they said it could take months. Can someone please explain to me why it takes months to verify three photos? I deposited €500. I won €5000. It's my first and only account. I didn't use a VPN. I sent all the documents, so what is the problem? This has never happened to me at another betting company. Can somebody help me with my case? After succesfull cashout will you pay 200€.Comment -

Sounds like you are just waiting for the right person to get involved and should get your funds unlocked. 7 months is a very long time for what, to me, sounds like an easy solution. I've got my fingers crossed for you pal! I am also a big fan of BookMaker, and I am very certain they will make it right for you.

That's such nonsense. They are as good a book as there is anywhere.
Like so many things in life, judging something on the internet is silly. You will never know the entire story. Thankfully most people understand this.
For every person who claims to have a issue with them, or any reputable book, there are thousands of others who don't. They just go about their business, making deposits, placing bets, and cashing out when they win. You don't hear about the countless bettors like that. In fact, how many times do you hear someone posting on how fast they were paid? You hardly ever do because that is how things work. That's a fact, no matter how you try and smear them.
I know dozens of bettors that have been paid out hundreds of thousands by BM and other solid books. Its not an accident as to why they have been around as long as they have.Comment -

#340Where is the same outrage for Bookmaker stealing $ from people? They took close to $800 in loyalty points from me and numerous others , which is actual theft considering I and others “EARNED” those rewards.
To me that’s worse than crediting a player a deposit bonus and asking them to meet the RO requirement. How does someone deposit $200 and not notice a difference when they are credited $220 instead? Yes aside from a select few their CS can be rude and outright arrogant but they PAY. There is no outstanding payout complaints and they don’t steal rewards. Atlesst if Heritage stripped you of your rewards they would give you what you earned first. Best offshore book by a long shot or atleast tied with BetonlineComment -

#3463. What are the conditions for membership?
You must have an account registered with BookMaker.eu and be in good standing. In addition, management may determine, at our sole discretion, that your account is not eligible depending on the type of play. Only accounts considered to be "recreational" will be allowed to participate
13. Do my BetPoints™ ever expire?
Yes. BetPoints™ become void after one year (12 months) of account inactivity (no deposits and no wagers), after which your BetPoints™ will be zeroed out.

#347They have been cancelling loyalty points for many years (decades?). It's how they operate.
Whilst it may be in their terms, I do agree that it is not ethical.
If you offer a promotion to entice players to keep betting with you, or bet more than otherwise, and the player fulfills their end of that offer, it is not reasonable to remove the reward retrospectively..Comment -

If they wanted to remove me from the program moving forward I may not have liked it ir agreed with it but to take away $ that I had accumulated made zero sense.
With US books becoming more accessible in almost every state , decisions like these will run offshore out of the US market and eventually out of business altogether, maybe they can use that $ they took from me to pay the power bill, don’t care what they offer I would never trust them again after thatComment -
