i was complaining awhile back that they would only partially close my account. i didn't want my info saved and to be harrassed down the line. tried to help anyone here by suggesting NOT to sign up if they were just curious about checking out the site. it's not worth it. most people didn't care. to each his own i guess? but anyway, they called me from an 800 number after a few months went by and left a voicemail asking me to come back.
i decided to give them another shot because customer service was actually pretty cool. worked out a deposit and reward bonus. so, i make my initial deposit and then a handful more during the week. everything is solid until i look at my account (NOT my BAS account) and notice the balance is jacked up. i'm thinking.. what the hell happened here? i go through the transactions and see there is a duplicate charge from my orginal deposit.. which happened to be the highest out of all of them, mid 600 figure.
i immediately email them and explain. they check into it and come back with the obvious, stating there appears to be a duplicate charge. and they are now working with the processor. even though i'm mad, i assume it was an accident and i mention to them to just update my BAS balance with what they took. rep explains they can't do that. i forget why.. some accounting type nonsense or something? thinking alright, whatever i guess. just give me back my money then.
after that they email me saying they're giving a CREDIT for the amount taken, because i'm such a "great customer" <- meaning i've lost and haven't made a withdrawal yet. BUT they also say i will be getting the refund as well. so i'm thinking great, they admitted their mistake and they are actually compensating me for it with a free play/bonus type thing. awesome service (and i told them this.) i didn't think much of the credit and just took some fun shots with it.
so, as the week drags on, i'm starting to get annoyed about how the money was basically stolen from me and i'm not getting any word yet. seems like an important matter, right?! i ask them for an update.. and in a sneaky kind of way they mention they gave me the credit. i laugh to myself and tell them i'm asking about the refund, which they said i would get no matter what. so they tell me they are working on it with the processor, they will get back to me as soon as they have something. i'm thinking how long?!!! you know it's a dupe charge, initiate a return. it's not that complicated.
to speed things up, settle the situation and avoid any negativity.. i again mention to them that they can just update my BAS balance with the money they took. they again say they can't do that, they gave me the credit already. which is like.. OK?? i didn't ask for the credit, and it's separate from the refund. i'm trying to explain to them that i shouldn't have to be the one who waits on the processor. it's part of their system. they should deal with it and giving me back the money they took should be a priority. they won't budge on it.
a few more days pass without an update.. and i'm getting more and more mad. i pretty much tell them if they aren't going to add the money to my BAS balance, then close my account because i won't play with them again. no 3rd chance. they keep trying to call me (which i'm not answering because i'm extremely busy and i don't give a damn about having a voice conversation with a BOOK.)it goes back and forth, nothing constructive or interesting. finally i tell them i've asked for my account to be closed like 3 or 4 times, why isn't it being done? and why can't i get a legit update on the refund?
they finally "suspend" it for me and tell me the same line, they are waiting on the processor. so a few days later, i try one more time to explain in detail about updating my BAS balance. i go over everything and ask them to do the right thing. my email is IGNORED. 3 days pass, i send another email saying i'm still waiting for an update and some answers to the situation. again, IGNORED.
that was 3 days ago. 6 days since the first ignored email. the dupe charge happened on august 4th. it's now august 21st. still no refund or updates. last two emails, ignored. will i ever see the money? highly, highly doubt it. i know some people might say i got the CREDIT, but that's not what i was told. i was supposed to get BOTH. also, i was charged a fee because of their mistake. so even if you count the credit, it still cost me a few extra bucks. of course, that doesn't include the headache of time wasted going back and forth in emails either.
what i want to know is, how many times has this happened to a customer who they don't consider "great" and they didn't give a credit to? how many times was money taken and someone didn't notice? shady stuff. i guess i'll update the thread if i ever get the money. even if by some remote chance i do, the wait and aggravation of it all leaves such a sour taste. especially the ignored emails, such a classless act. when you essentially steal money out of someone's account, you damn well better answer no matter how many times they ask you.. even if it's the same "we're still waiting" nonsense.
