Anyone know what's going on with Bovada? Deposits not crediting for a full day, customer service down, bovada forums moderators saying they have no idea what is happening and no information. Some panic going on in various forums. Just wondering if anyone here has any insight.

    I'm not a scammer Optional

    Let me show you everything.
2 weeks ago: I deposited 10k and withdrew 8k. No problem.
Last week: I took the remaining 2k and ran it up to 15k. Tried to withdraw and they start asking me for KYC. Again and again. I gave them everything. Bank statement, ID, passport, selfie, water bill whatever they wanted. After around a week they ran out of excuses and re-enabled my account.

Then I thought awesome no more issues. I withdrew a little bit and it worked perfectly.

Then I ran it up a bit more and tried to withdraw 9.5k. and guess what?

"account under investigation". I have no VPN, no shared account, no bonus, no referral. They just don't want to pay me.

Bovada is a scam. if you're a losing player, then they will happily take money from you. If you win, they'll make KYC very difficult.
Even if you go through it and win, then bam just disabled and they WILL keep your winnings. Try like bookmaker.eu, heritage or your local book. Bovada is 100% a scam.

OK. We can see whats going on here more clearly after this comment.

Not really wow. Many caught scammers act this way. They know they have been caught and either panic and are sure they wont be paid, so start setting up the book as the bad guy from the start.

Or they think they have no chance anyway so may as well try to coerce the book into paying them to shut them up.

Never in the decades long history of SBR helping with complaints has a genuine ordinary bettor come on here saying the book is stealing from them as soon as KYC is asked for

See, now we're getting somewhere. So you provided all the documents about a week ago? This would have been worth mentioning, in your first post.

With some of the Offshores, 1-2 weeks isn't unheard of. Some books simply don't prioritize KYC, and some books purposely slow-roll you (hoping you'll lose the money back).

To be fair, this is how many businesses operate. When you want to give them money, you're the #1 priority. When you have a refund/service issue, you're not a priority.

All you can really do is jump through their hoops, and be somewhat polite. Firm, but polite.

For what it's worth, I don't play with Bovada anymore. They have too many obscure rules/conditions, and it isn't worth the risk of an ambush T&C violation.

There have been some complaints with Bovada. Especially when they pull a "gotcha" with Bonus rules & rollover.

But you haven't described anything shady/unethical yet. All you have described is a somewhat-standard KYC review. Even the legal USA books will do this. The good books will approve in 24 hours, but the half-ass books can take 7+ days.

Are we missing something here? Is there more to the story?
I mean it's been a week and this is the only info they give me:
"Thank you for communicate with us.

Regarding your account status, we don't have a specific timeframe, however we are working for resolved this. When the verification done, you'll receive email with all information.

    Best, regards."

Tell me in what universe this doesn't mean that they plan on just keeping my money and not paying out? Is there nobody here that has a contact with them. This is something very common just search up bovada scam on reddit or google. I can't believe they're still getting away with all this

    Hey,

So I deposited around 10k in Bovada, and withdrew 8k. No problem no issues.

Then I took the account up to 15k and just tried to withdraw 9k, and all of a sudden. Account disabled etc. Now they're asking for my ID. I have complied and given them all my Information.

Does anyone here have any experience with this? Is Bovada a safe website? and how long does the ID verification take?

    Update:

    Let me show you everything.

I was limited last year, after about 45 days. I had a very old Account with them, hadn't used in a few years.

I lost a few hundred in the sportsbook, and a few hundred in the casino (my attempt to "prime" the Account). Only bet main-lines, and always the day-of game.

They also mentioned wagers affected by a pre-game line error, and reserving the right to cancel any wagers that took advantage of an error. Huh? I placed a few no-hold wagers, but I wasn't slamming them on off-market Props, or obvious mistakes.

Haven't played there in months. Not worth the risk of them coming to some bullshit conclusion or definition. Buyer beware.

How does Bovada interpret/enforce the definition of low-margin betting?

This is the ultimate "Too bad, it was in their Terms & Conditions!" --- so if you purposely bet the bad lines (like -4% EV), you'll be fine. But if you dare grab a line that is -0.8% EV, Bovada can accuse you of low-margin betting?

"Prohibited play is considered bonus abuse and is not permitted on the Site. Prohibited play can include (but is not limited to) low margin betting, equal betting, zero risk bets or hedge betting. These are considered prohibited play when done purposely to exploit bonuses."

Betonline refuses to acknowledge this deposit and keeps telling me to check with my payment provider. The money is no longer in my wallet and has been transferred (and confirmed) to their address.

How can I get this resolved?
I am guessing you didn't click "Funds Sent" button. Also, the most important page you should be taking a screenshot of is the confirmation page after you click "Funds Sent". It would give you a deposit reference number. If you don't click "Funds Sent" button, you won't get one to keep for your records.

On the contrary, that wallet address would obviously belong to them. If they were to actually go above and beyond and check it, they would see the funds. ALWAYS click "Funds Sent" button right away and take a screenshot of the confirmation page. THEN you send the crypto. I dropped Bovada for a reason. They have been getting sketchier and sketchier over the past 2 years. They muted me on their forum after calling them out for their site issues and lack of rewards.

Was promised a Birthday Bonus for being "VIP" as stated in the invitation email. On my Bday, asked Bovada chat where my bonus was. "We don't offer Birthday bonuses." Showed the screenshot of the VIP invitation with the perks. "Like I said, we don't offer Birthday Bonuses. Promotions may vary." I emailed Bovada about the issue and still no reply after 2 weeks. Customer service and the Platform is nose diving straight to hell.

Bodog/bovada have always been very quick to limit. Afaik there are no profitable workarounds barring eating extra juice to parlay multiple +EV bets.

    Hi Guys (& Gals),

I have a fresh bovada account that already got limited heavily after like 7 days of use, made some money but nothing amazing... already down to like $60 on same day college basketball.

Does anyone know how I can still bet anything with any decent limits? I know if this was MyBookie, I could call the bets in.

Does Bovada take bets if you call them in? Anyone ever tried this? If we were in NFL I would imagine Bovada still takes >=$500 on a Sunday...but I am not sure what now....maybe NBA point spread right before game....anything else though? Prop builder obviously I know but what about straight bets?

Have some rollover I need to plow thru even if it's not the best stuff just need to fire some >$500 bets...anyone try calling in bets at Bovada?

This is accurate. I found out that I did not use the bonus fast enough. It was my fault.

Good to know. I have nothing to lose by depositing I guess.

When I had to forfeit the bonus I even contacted customer service at the time and asked why my bonus was forfeited. If I remember correctly they told me rollover requirement.

If I depost I will report back with what happens.

Although I would be careful with this place. Their site is always fuked up now. Some weekends site is down all together, many weeks live lines are all fuked up, or both. They say they are aware of the problem and are "fixing" it but this has been going on since the end of September. This was my top book but these new developments and getting fuked over a few times on their site not properly working on promos, then they replace the promo with a different one with not the same guidelines, made me withdraw most of my funds. I wouldn't be surprised to wake up and see the book gone.

I mean you have to continuously refresh soccer live lines because matches that were over hours before pop up and the matches that are actually being played disappear. It is just an absolute mickey mouse show with bovada anymore. When I try to get answers with CS they are obviously trained to pretend this is normal. The book is about a C- at best now.

For another example of how messed up this site is poster Firedawg took a withdrawal over two weeks ago. He was paid but ever since that day he can't do any financial transactions because the site tells him that he has a withdrawal pending. There hasn't been anything pending for weeks. He has went on live chat about 10 times and they tell him it is normal. I mean it is a shit show. They must be damn near broke if they can't find out how to make a website work for months. Same problems everyday then more, like firedawgs problem, pop up. Don't keep large amounts of money at this site.
