    Reload Ban at Carib
I recently lost my initial deposit (and sign-up bonus) at Carib and re-deposited for the reload, only to be informed that my account was ineligible for reload bonuses.

I have just spoken to them and been informed that my account has "similar characteristics" to another and, as such, I am not entitled to any more bonuses.

I recognise that there appears to be a tendency on this forum for those who have been caught out attempting to "play the system" to get on their high horses and bitch about it but, had I been playing with multiple accounts I would have no complaint and would take the deserved punishment.

However, I have been accessing my account from 2 different machines (work and home), inaccessible to anybody else, and I am at a bit of a loss as to why my account has been singled out.

I must stress that I am not having a go at Carib per se; they refunded my second deposit immediately after informing me that I was ineligible for the reload and have generally been quite good. However, had I not lost my original deposit+bonus, I wonder if I would have been allowed to cashout, and my concern is that, should I sign up for another book and win, I will be prevented from withdrawing for the same reason.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? I do know that my home ISP does not use fixed IP addresses. I tried to get a bit more detail from the person I spoke to but he wasn't particularly forthcoming.

I also asked what they wanted me to do to prove my identity and he said there was nothing I could do, which sort of makes me think that they haven't really identified any similar characteristics, they just don't want to give me any more bonuses.

Any comments appreciated, be nice to a first-time poster.

Sadly, bonuses and limiting for sharp players has resulted in players using multiple accounts. Books have had to fight that. In most casesd the abusers of the system use different information and different IPs, thus the books have to keep looking harder and harder to find multiple account abusers. What you are describing sounds like Carib is choosing to look at less relevant information to catch fraud. This is going to result in many circustances when players are tagged for possible abuse when they are innocent.

bergerac - The one thing I can say is that if books are going to operate this way, then the way Carib handled it is one of the better ways to do it. The only way to hedge against this happening more is for players to be vocal about being singled out and for the books to then back off if they start to target too many legitimate bettors.

As for what to do about the future. I would make sure that you have id and bills that match your address, so if something comes up, you can show you are legitimate. Betting from multiple IPs might be an issue, but I am guessing that you can't just stop betting from work.

Sounds you got a raw deal. Plenty of other solid Books out there, though.

If this story is true then Carib is not the place for people to be wagering. You lost your only deposit plus the bonus and they are worried about you. Sounds pretty pathetic for a sportsbook to me bro. Sportsbetting.com is a good book where you can reload every Thursday and get 10% cash bonus. They pay me very promptly and they'd never pull this crap. I would also recommend 5D as a great book but bonuses are harder to come by with a freeplay and a rulebook to figure out if you will ever get your bonus.

I agree Carib could have handled it a lot differently and I'm grateful that I haven't actually lost any funds as a result, I'm just a bit puzzled as to why my account was highlighted.

Judging by the number of responses, nobody else has been banned, and I can't be the only person logging in to my account from different IP addresses.

Oh well, as HH says, spose I'll just have to take my money elsewhere.

Why would accessing a site from multiple IP's be an issue?
