Thun PK @ -122 at home to St. Gallen;
I believe Thun's odds are like they are because they had the Europa game tonight so oddsmakers are thinking that they may be fatigued. This might be true, but it shouldnt be a big issue as they were playing at home tonight so wasnt like they had to travel, and they also cruised to a comfortable 2-0 win. My main reason for playing tho is because St. Gallen shouldnt be at the same level this season as they were last year mainly because they have lost Scarione who was probably the best player in Switzerland and was the league top scorer with 21 goals in 36 appearances. They've also lost key defender Jagne (34 apps, 1 goal) to Sion. Thun beat them 3-0 last time they met in May;
FC Lahti PK @ -196 at home to Mariehamn...
Both sides are pretty bad but I think Mariehamn are in worse shape at moment! Two key players Orgil (league top scorer) and attacking mid Assis are out injured for a while. Lahti meanwhile have signed Cameroonian pair Nganbe Nganbe and Ngueukam so now have a plethora of choices in attack with Rafael, Vini Dantas, Lansitalo, Kari, Kempinnen, and Tynkkynen. The head-to-head record bodes well as Lahti have never lost at home to Mariehamn, winning 6 and drawing 3. In fact Lahti have only lost 4 out of 21 games against Mariehamn home and away.
FSV Frankfurt PK @ -191 at home to Karlsruher SC...
FSV finished 4th in 2. Bundesliga last season and had a solid home record of 10 wins, 3 draws, and 4 losses. 3 of those 4 losses came against rival contenders for promotion in Kaiserslautern, 1860 Munich, and Braunschweig (who did end up getting promoted in 2nd position). FSV have kept hold of all of their key players from last season and have also improved their midfield with the signings of Joan Oumari, Epstein, Kauko, and Kandziora so now have great depth in the midfield and flanks. Karlsruher were promoted last season but haven't really upgraded their squad, and have had one significant departure in Turkish prospect Hakan Calhanoglu who has joined Hamburg. He scored 14 goals in 31 appearances last season and was also their key creative threat so will be a big loss for them.
