Whats the best way to go about finding a local bookie these days. Should I just straight up ask the bartender at a local sports bar or how should I go about finding one. I live in the dfw area if that helps.

#2Go to the nearest casino with a card room, play some 5/10 hold em or whatever the mid level blinds are.
Start talking about "I lost $500 on this game, lost $800 on that game, and then my fuking bookie moved away before I had a chance to win it back. haha" It might take a couple of tries but eventually someone will point you in the right direction.Comment -

#3The nearest casino is in Oklahoma nearly an hour and a half away. Do you still think I would have any luck?Comment -

#4Go to a busy sport bar. Sit at the bar and start talking and networking. You'll need an "in"...someone who can vouch for you. You also want to do yourself a favor and find someone established and reputable.
I worked for a local for a few years in college. All of his/our customers came from networking and word of mouth. At this point, you may even be able to find something on the internet in an area that large, but I'd rather hear a recommendation.Comment -
