    IPHONE 5: Built On Slavery?
iPhone maker Foxconn has been accused of using slavery-like tactics by forcing thousands of underage students to work at the company’s production plant in East China.

The company failed to recruit the number of employees required, approximately 10,000, to make USB cables for the much anticipated iPhone 5.
Although Foxconn have invested over $210 million in new production lines, it is despicable that students are being forced to take time away from their education, while being paid just $243.97 a month for working 12 hour shifts, 6 days a week and being forced to work overtime if they fail to complete daily tasks.

            Man, that is just depressing.

I don't know if there's anything we can do though.

Unless the public, as a whole, makes a decision to stop buying "Made in China" this will not stop.

I know I've changes my buying habits.

When I go shopping now there's only two things I look for depending on what I'm shopping for.

Either "Made in Italy" or "Made in the USA".

I try to buy these two as much as I can.

At least in the USA, you have the choice to form a union and be represented if you are a laborer.

What choice do these poor fukks in China have?

Out of sight, out of mind. No one cares.

Stock holders expect more and more return on their money every year. The only way to do that is to lower cost, easiest way to lower cost is cheap labor.

Child slaves working the African diamond mines should be what keeps Americans awake at night.
