I'm tired of hearing about it. I'm tired of seeing tweets from athletes and celebrities that don't say anything. I'm tired of the media acting like I should care, or that it's some sort of "breaking news" when they post anything. I'm tired of the Twitter language -- just more incoherent garbage that doesn't make sense most of the time about nothing of any substance anyway.

My only hope is that 20 years from now, we'll look back on it as a worthless passing trend and not the beginning of the decay of our society and how we communicate. I'm not even 40 years old, yet I feel like I'm 70 making this rant. Please tell me I'm not alone.

I don't either, but it's infiltrated the mainstream media. They post the shit on CNN and ESPN and everything else now -- I can't seem to get away from it. Hell, I was reading an Associated Press story the other day and they were "quoting" Twitter accounts. Unreal.

I check a few sports twitter accounts that have good info, but so do their websites.

Its good for updates, but as usual celebs think when they take their morning shit it should be shared.

I have an account, but I rarely log in... I get my sports news from Rotoworld or ESPN.

I really only follow artists on Twitter.

I am sick of ESPN showing every single tweet any athlete posts. I really don't care too much what they have to say.

However I'm not sick of Twitter itself, it's an excellent source of live info for basically anything you want.

                              The whole sports/celebrity/spam/etc. is annoying.

I always thought it was stupid but I'm using it myself now, good for updates and business stuff.

When I saw those nascar guys sending out tweets during a crash and espn reporting them .....ugh....

Gives attention whores even more attention plus they get paid for their tweets so no one is passing up free money.

Maybe that's my problem -- I'm not seeing the good and haven't given that side a chance because I'm constantly being bludgeoned over the head with this bullshit by ESPN and the like.
