O/T Need some ideas for fundraising

We have 20+ Girl Scouts taking a trip to Savannah, GA next year. For the girls to be able to go we need to raise over $7,000.

I need some creative ideas to achieve this and am willing to give points for ideas that would work in our area.

One condition on these fundraisers though we can not do anything that is a game of chance.

my cousins daughters girlscouts did a car wash one weekend and set up at the end of the drivethru at dunkin donuts and took donations. Dont know if its possible in your area but i think it paid for 3/4 of the trip they made 2 years ago. I can get my detailsif you want.

Around here we actually make a fairly decent amount off of the cookies. For each box the girls get back 75 cents. However, since it is an active troop most of that money goes to the running of the troop, purchasing supplies, patches etc. Last year alone for the group of 13 girls we spent well over $1,000 on vests, patches, and insignia...

Do a google search on charitable events. There are plenty of options, you can check to see if any are feasible for your girl scout group. GL

I have done a few however, all I keep seeing are the same old things. Car washes, bake sales, etc etc

Was hoping to find some new things to try.

my cousin said the way they got around it was by gettin a squeege and a bucket of water and offered to clean the windshield for any donation. Hes gonna have his wife call me later and ill let you know what else they did cuz he doesnt remember

or what about a mens softball tourney? few hundred bucks a team. Take that money rent the field, buy some soda water hotdogs hamburgers and sell those at tourney and have the girls do that. and parents can umpire. We did that for a few years to pay for our trip to nationals. And made enough for everyones hotels. And if we had any money left we donated it to the local little league.

Pancake breakfast - get someone to donate space with a kitchen like a church. Pancakes are cheap and you can charge 5$ a plate. After the breakfast you can do facepainting and other carnival type stuff and charge for that.

I think our entire trip is already well planned but if I can get away for a few minutes that may work!

We are staying on Tybee Island, going to the Juliette Gordon Lowe house, some dolphin tour, lighthouse tour and I don't even remember what else.

From everything I have been told, Savannah is extremely Girl Scout friendly as is Tybee Island.
