Savannah is unlike any other place I've been. Moved here 16 years ago and have had some great times here. Yes the girl scouts are a big deal down town in the historic district. Forsyth park has all kinds of facts about the history here of the girl scouts.
O/T Need some ideas for fundraising

#37So, is it extremely escalated this year with it being the 100th anniversary? I know around here we were sick of hearing about the 100th months ago, can't imagine living there how sick people would beOriginally posted by firedawgSavannah is unlike any other place I've been. #40Always do the car wash here for donations. No, you do not solicit for them but it is a given for the driver. They see it is a FREE CAR WASH performed by the GIRL SCOUTS. That is all you need to do. A tip basket is all that is needed with a lid on it.
Works like a charm .
Best of Luck.Comment -

#41Another idea is to go to a Best Buy or some retail electronic store, get them to donate an I PAD and raffle it off at 5.00 per ticket.
That works great also.
Sell the tickets in front of a major grocery store after getting pre approval from the manager to stand there during key times, like Saturday mornings . Not so much weekday evenings, everyone is in a hurry and you want the parent to be dragging there kids with them so the kids demand the shot at an I PAD.Comment -

#42We used to have BBQ plate fundraisers in boy scouts as well, selling for $20 each with potato salad, baked beans, a roll and of course, the meat.Originally posted by firedawgBasically pork shoulders. #48Well since they are 20+ you know what they can do to get money out of guys.. Seducing.. and etc.. Something a bit more extreme if necessary..Originally posted by BlondieWe have 20+ Girl Scouts taking a trip to Savannah, GA next year. For the girls to be able to go we need to raise over $7,000.
I need some creative ideas to achieve this and am willing to give points for ideas that would work in our area.
One condition on these fundraisers though we can not do anything that is a game of chance.
Thank you in advance for any and all ideas!Comment -

#49One more idea .... My sons football team did it last week. At a local grocery they took people's carts out and bagged groceries. I think they made like 700 dollars on a Saturday.Comment -

#54Find a bar that is willing to do an open bar for 3 hours for around $30. Then tack on another $10 that will go straight to you. People will pony up the $40 to get drunk for 3 hours for a good cause. Then get some items donated and also have a silent auction at the event. Make sure you start the silent auction in the latter half of the event as people are much more likely to spend the $$$ when they are a bunch of drinks in.Comment -
