you probably dont give a shit why the price of every possible food in our economy has risen drastically due to the fact that corn factors into the production of almost everything we consume, do you understand that?, and we havent even implemented the carbon tax yet, (its obvious idiots like you will elect liberals to impose this on everyone, AFTER ALL its been one hell of a hot summer!) so then when you notice how every small business is put out of business and we have giant corporations everywhere, using bullshit legislation like carbon taxs, you will understand, demcrats been touting things like this forever now, that corporations are bad, meanwhile raising the taxes on everyone, businesses big and small, (look at new healthcare law raised 22 taxes) lining their pockets the entire ******* way, you guys dont understand that implementing taxes on them doesnt effect them, (the large corps have the capital/credit to withstand) and in turn they just pass the cost onto the consumer. small businesses will never be able to compete with the big ones, no the whole concept of how business actually works(and good business/production works) has been dumbed down to you, due to legislation like "minimum wage laws" that dictate the pace of business, instead of market forces, production, negotiations determining what one person is willing to do for work, and what one is willing to pay.....let me guess, you have a minimum wage job?

minimum wage laws:

equal pay act of 1963 - "equal pay under equal work"
1966 - amendment - minimum wage to $1.60 per hour in stages
1974 amendment - include all gov't workers state/fed...minimum wage was increased to $2.30 per hour in stages.
The 1977 FLSA Amendment increased the minimum wage in yearly increments through 1981 to $3.35 an hour.
The 1989 FLSA Amendments increased the minimum wage to $4.25 per hour in stages
1966-1996 raised $2.65 in 30 years...... .0883/cents a year --ALL UNDER DEMCRATIC HOUSE/SENATE
The 1996 FLSA Amendment increased the minimum wage to $5.15 an hour - latest 2 amendments happened under repub control
On May 25, 2007, incremental plan, culminating in a minimum wage of $7.25 per hour by July 24, 2009.
Increased - $2.10 in 13 years a whopiing .16 cents/ a year -

And this type of legislation stemming from a bill called "Equal pay under equal work" LMAO. people need to stop debating over whether or not Romney turned in his tax returns and start calling into question the legality of laws like this under the consitution. atleast in my interpetation of the constitution its illegal. Do you not understand how prices/costs/expenses are established? its an easy starting point for any business to say "you start at minimum wage, or the next guy will" the problem is when "minimum" becomes normal.....
