Yes, samsung.

Plug in a flash drive and play .AVI/.MKV files straight off the TV.

That's the only thing I use it for. No need to check email or weather, since I have a phone for that. I think you can do facebook off of it, if you're into those types of things.

Got a Samsung. It does my homework, figures out no vig lines and +ev plays for the day, looks for scalps, bonus whores and also gives dinner suggestions. We had it tested for IQ and it was 170.

You can do a LOT with Smart TV's... especially the newer ones. Look up product reviews and applications for what would be a best fit for you, because it really depends on what you want to use them for!

Mine has quite a lot of built in apps I would never use honestly. My suggestion is to make sure it has built in Netflix and built in wifi capabilities. It is really nice to be able to download firmware updates directly to your t.v.

Its only worth it if it has flash, so you can stream the sports that aren't on tv.

I reckon you are better off by connecting a computer tower by HDMI though. So much less hassle.
