#146Willie....I don't blame you for feeling this way. I blame California for doing this to you.
No one has told gays they can't be together. They're welcome to do all the immoral things they want. No one has even said that gays aren't allowed to marry. They are. They have simply chosen not to enter into a heterosexual relationship where they could be legally wed.
Marriage is between a man and a woman. Period.
Does everyone realize that all this nonsense is over 1% of the population throwing a hissy fit? As the support for Chic Fil-a shows, the vast majority of Americans do not agree with this stance.
As for marriage.............I'm with you in that I believe "marriage", in it's purest form, is meant to be a unity formed between a man and a woman. But, if it doesn't effect my day to day life...............and will make others happy..............then so be it. Now, if we start talking about changing the way things are done/taught in classrooms to include homosexual lifestyle as part of the curriculum........I fukkin drawn the line.Comment -

#15088......trust me pal.........the thought of one man touching another mans rooster makes me a bit queasy. I'm certainly far from comfortable with it. Hell, I have two young boys and certainly don't want them exposed to public displays of affection between gay men (at least until they are old enough to process what the fukk they are seeing). However, living in Southern Califronia.....less than 30 minutes from places like Laguna Beach....having a vacation place in Palm Springs....I know a few gays.........and have spoken to others about their gayness in social settings. Every single one of them says (and I'm paraphrasing)...."I would NEVER choose to be gay. It's a much harder and complicate life. You're judged, discriminated against, will never have biological children that stem from both you and your partner, etc. etc.". I'm a believer in the "born gay" theory rather than "social misfit" theory.
As for marriage.............I'm with you in that I believe "marriage", in it's purest form, is meant to be a unity formed between a man and a woman. But we both know that if this is ever fully legalized, it'll never stop. Ever. That's how these things work. If you think the gays wouldn't demand that it be taught to your kids in school, then you better think again.
I feel that marriage is between a man and a woman. That's it. Nothing else.
Marriage was created for people to procreate. No matter how you spin it, or no matter how feminine some homo might act, a guy cornholing another dude cannot create a baby. (thank God!!) Because that's not how it was intended to be.Comment -

#153Oh, I understand why CFA is closed on Sunday.
My post was referring to why does Christianity choose Sunday as their Sabbath? Sunday was the pagan day of worship, amongst many religions, including the Roman religion and Mithraism. Early Christians did not want to be persecuted by the Roman goverment (as they did with the Jews), so Christians began taking on many pagan traditions as their own. Mass on Sunday, Christmas, etc.Comment -

#154DrStale, your reply is the textbook definition of an ad hominem response:
An ad hominem (Latin for "to the man"), short for argumentum ad hominem, is an attempt to negate the truth of a claim by pointing out a negative characteristic or belief of the person supporting it
I believe that being gay is strictly a personal choice while you believe that people are born gay (homosexuality being some sort of genetic defect). Since YOU are the one that is insisting that people are BORN GAY, its on you to back up your belief with medical evidence that supports your claim.
Gay marriage advocates have searched frantically for almost a century for any medical evidence that backs up their claims and haven't been able to come up with one single, solitary shred of medical proof that people are born gay.An intelligent fiscal conservative who is able to see through all the bullshit, YES SIR!!!!Originally posted by Dark HorseIf with religion you mean belief system, your belief system is your religion. Also I have no idea why you keep harping on what marriage was "intended" to be. Marriage was also intended to be sacred, for life, and made a woman a man's property. #156There are 7 billion people on this planet popping out way more useless human beings than human beings are dying off. Less procreation is a good thing.

So you disagree that the purpose of marriage was intended to foster procreation? Like it or not.....that is a fact. Its also a fact that same-sex couples cannot procreate, and therefore cannot fulfill the basic function of marriage.
Again, I find it bizarre that so many supposedly "straight" people get in such an uproar over something that affects only a tiny percentage of the population. Why is this?? Wouldn't your energy and efforts be more useful in something that actually affected the overwhelming majority of the population?Comment -

Yes, the purpose of marriage was to foster the family unit. The single biggest element of this is procreation.
Your example of the "caveman" makes you appear retarded. No one said procreation wasn't around before marriage. That wouldn't even make any fukkin sense.
Why would you want to pop in this thread anyway? Besides embarrassing yourself with this last moronic attempt at looking like a grown-up, what did you hope to achieve? You're not married, are you? So why would equal rights for gays be important to you??

HOwever, I also could care less what Chic Fil A believes on the subject. They can (and I believe have the right) to believe whatever they want. Same way as you the consumer have the ability to choose or choose not to frequent their establishments.
All we do when everyone makes a big deal out of it is gives them a bunch of free advertising.
People should mind their own business and quit trying to police every man, woman and company that has a different set of beliefs than what they do. Free speech was made for a reason.Comment
