I just found out that LV sportsbooks have NO personal phone in accounts, or online?
    What!
I wanted to take a vacation in basketball season, maybe stay awhile? Now, I understand[hear?] that you'll have to manually play any sports wagers at the Sportsbooks? Stand in line and miss any changes that could screw-up your potential wager? Is that an accurate statement?

If it is, it's like going back to the 1950s.
Thanks anyone for an accurate opinion!

Someone who is actually in Vegas could give you a more precise answer but I believe you can bet online at a few books if you are physically located in Nevada...

      Yes and NO
Some sportsbooks offer phone and internet betting but you must be a Nevada resident and also bet within
the Las Vegas Area or State depending which one you use.
Also there are many places in Vegas that there are Sports betting kiosks that you can place a bet.
Most of the Lines at the betting windows move very quickly so you shouldn't have to wait much at all.
I know there are some sportsbooks like the M-resort ,Cantor gaming,
you can open a account and they give you a portable machine to bet on but only can use it in casino and maybe your room, no good if you leave casino.

Thanks for some insight guys. I will study these responses and try to find a reasonable way to further enjoy my stay in LV. If it's true about being a resident [I heard that the Mirage and Hilton-no difference?], I will certainly try to become one.
You know how it is in the gambling world, it's better to know ALL the angles and do not believe anything you hear without double-checking.
