Was just browsing through YAHOO! search engine and these two articles popped up right away.

In general I also hear a lot about bodies and heads being severed by Zeta and other drug cartels down there. Even the police seems scared sh*tless in South America for many countries.

What exactly is going on down there? Anyone visited Mexico or some of these other sh*thole countries lately?

Any first hand accounts would be interesting or stories of what is happening down there and should I not be a tourist or plan any vacations down there anymore?

Also find it interesting that south of the Border everything is going to h e l l while north of America it's clean environmentally, quiet, nice sane people, affordable health care for all and mostly caucasian/European while....in other words the EXACT OPPOSITE of countries below California and Texas.

Sort of like a heaven and hell contrast over there and America is purgatory.

Was just in Nogales, Sonora earlier today. It is as shitty and as dangerous/fun as ever. Nothing really changes except the technology that reports it.

Just the other side of Nogales, Arizona. Separated by a imaginary line a dirty fence and night and die difference in socio-economic situations.

I would say one of the top drug smuggling centers of the world.

I remember back when I was in college everyone used to say how fun it was to hit up Cancun or some resort in south america or Mexico but now look at it.

They had the ill strip club TD's down there too. Owned by Chapo's people. Used to hit it up after a pill run.

Not in your life. My brother drives into mexico M-F every week for work, it is not even close to as bad as people are making it out to be. It is poorer than most these stories say - there is no good business for the cartels to kidnap a white man. They don't want the feds in their drug running lanes.

                        It is all about money.

And, like most tough areas - don't be a douche bag and you will get out fine. I feel more normal eating beans in the tin shacks of a border town, or a compton like ghetto than that of some uppity bullshit where people are walking around in fukkin suits.

                        I seriously enjoy common folk.

Damn. Guess American tourists aren't a high priority target for the cartels.

Do you guys think the cartels can ever be stopped though? I mean isn't crime at an all-time high down there?

There is no stopping that as long as the Americans will pay a fukin fortune for them and the average wage is like 2 bucks an hour
