Malware set to shut down the internet for many computer users tomorrow 7/9/2012

Apparently some malware got into a ton of computers, thinking from email or something else - no idea, not an IT guy.

You can fix it, while you still have internet access. Just gotta check if you are infected.

Shady thing is, you gotta run your IP through an FBI check, as the FBI has taken control of this thing, and has set up numerous servers to help check and fix the problem.

Thinking it is pretty big. Hate involving anything with the feds, but I ran my comp - and it is clean.

Yeah, thought about that - but they're the FBI, and I have already given them my whole life on a silver platter for my license.

And I can't afford to lose the internet tomorrow on this computer.

Yea sounds like an FBI scam. Anything involving malware can be fixed by even the computer illiterate.

probably be like hurricane katrina. Warn people for a week to leave/ warn people for a week to check for bug. No one does anything. People complain for years they were wronged by the goverment
