Thinking about ordering the college football Gameplan package from direct tv. Saw that it is 120 for four months? Has anyone ordered before or know of anyone that has? And is it worth it is it any good?

#7some people actually have friends and watch games with other people
$120 is chump change if they show the games that are on espn3Comment -

#9I have direct tv and I ordered this package the past 2 years
Here is the pro's - you can get some games that aren't being shown on other channels
Here is the cons - I have a HD tv and I assume you do as well. Well they are NOT in HD therefore it is better to just watch them on espn.com - The sound is very loud and the quality is horrible (so if your switching channels back in forth prepare to adjust your eyes, for non hd and your volume)
Last year I ended up never even using my subscription past the 1st weekend because of the quality and lets face it do you really need to watch Nevada play hawaii? well sure if you have a bet on it but hardly something all the buddies will be coming over to watch.
Another con is if you dvr the games - well they for some reason set aside like a 6-8 hr block for 1 game
so if tape a game at lets say 9 am PST it will tape til 3 so you cant tape 2 games at 12:30pst and lets face it there is always to great games on at 12:30 pst with abc/cbs and espn
so even if money is a non factor its just not worth it for me (my 2 cents)

#10Kold nailed it.
There are games that you don't find on Gameplan, but the quality isn't the greatest.
I still buy it though.Comment -

#11You can watch most of the games on ESPN3. However, they are on a small delay on ESPN3 as opposed to being legit live on gameplan.
If you are doing live betting on these games, you will need gameplan. The gameplan games usually are not live betting games but the point still stands.
If you also run a multiple TV set up trying to keep up on everything in real time, you will want gameplan so there is no delay.
If you are running a 1 TV set up and just watching the ESPN3 game, then ESPN3 is fine.
If you follow things in real time, get gameplan.Comment -

#14Between ESPN, ABC, NBC, B10 network etc....Most of the games I want to see are on tv.
Otoh...I remember last year there was an Oregon game I would have watched over what was being shown and $120 really ain't shit.Comment -

#17I think gameplan only gets you about 15 extra games a week. You'll have to go online to get all games, gameplan just gets you a couple more a week you'd even be interested in.
You already get about 25-30 games a week with basic channels CBS, NBC, ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, FX, BTN, CBS Sports, FSN, NBC Sports. Every B10 game guaranteed. Most of your regional Conference games through FSN (ACC, P12, etc). Most notable big conference games.
Probably the best use you can get out of it is if you're a BE/ACC guy outside of the East Coast.Comment
