I went to the Sandals resort with my wife and kids 2 years ago..
Beach (water and sand) 10 star
The size of the beach...5 star
Accommodations...8 star
Food...4 star
Alcohol Beverages...7 star
Size of the resort...6 star
For the amount of money that we paid....NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!!!!Sandals Resorts is over rated!!!
We looked at the Atlantis...VERY VERY EXPENSIVE!!!

Atlantis is a completely self contained resort. I went there with the GF in march. It seems expensive upfront, but your meals are all comped. Resort is completely safe. From the way it was described to me, 99% of the violent crime in Nassau is locals harming locals, you should be completely fine because the resort is far from the city. In addition, Nassau is very safe unless you go into the ghettos there, which you would have to be stupid to go to, the only people dumb enough to go there are people getting off cruise ships and taking scooter tours and making a wrong tern.Originally posted by statnerds
Your kid should like it, there is a water park in the resort, with slides, lazy rivers ect. They let you charge all the drinks and food to your room from any of the concession places around the pools so you don't have to carry cash. There is a casino at the hotel, clubs and a comedy place. The staff was great, they really hustled to make sure you were having a good time.
After going there, I would be hesitant to vacation anywhere else.Comment -

Fukk Atlantis and every main stream please you'd think of when people say bahamas.
Go to Staniel cay yacht club....Not overly expensive, I believe it's much cheaper than Atlantis (can't remember what the price of Atlantis was, when I looked last)
But the place is awesome...Get your own private boat to go out and explore each day...No Tv's in room, no cell service.
It's the place to go if you want to get away from everything about life and just enjoy with your wife.
Ohh and play with the fukkin pigs in the bay.
It's part of the exumas, which I think include the bahamas.
