Because they made clear years ago that they would nuke anyone who attacked them if the U.S. did not have their back! The U.S. cannot have that happen so they help them out. Israel will not go down without their nukes!

I am interested in what you mean by this. Care to elaborate?

The relationship is of course complex but much of it is related to the widespread evangelical beliefs of US elites. These overlap significantly with Zionism. The majority of economic elites and their political and media minions are Zionist but many are evangelical Christians rather than Jewish.

The interesting questions become: why is this or how did this come to be? I don't have answers. Many that do are full of bs but some are interesting too.

Most people come to this discussion with severe biases on one side or the other.
