41 and nothing more, and if they bitch, I continue to say I'm very efficient in the time that I am there, and they allow me to work less as long as the work is getting done.

I average about 55-60 hours a week. My wife works just about as much, some weeks she even puts in more than I do.
Just finished a 3 month project where I had a 5 week stretch where everyone who works here was putting in 80+ hours. Absolutely brutal.
We both agreed that there is no way we could keep that up. It actually begins to affect you physically as well as mentally.

Smart guy. Make all of your money now and enjoy your life later so the government doesn't have to support you.

Until recently I worked in sports and worked about 6 hours a day including the 1 1/2 hour commute each way. There were times when I'd work like this for 2-3 months and then I'd be off for 2 weeks or so.
Nowadays I'm working about 12 hours a day attempting to pick winners, and doing a bit of other work here and there. I'd actually prefer to be working more often, 30-50 hours a week. I bore easily and don't particularly enjoy working from home.

you will burn yourself out within a few if you continue at this pace. especially if your working weekends as well. There's always a better option. get trained in something earn some type of license or go through 1 of those 2 year programs. theirs so many different things you can do in today's world.

More like 50 but two gigs: one full and one part time. Can't complain. Some have it better and many have it worse. Mutual respect in an employment situation is more relevant than hours or pay. It's important to respect your mission and that your employer respect you. Many do not have this and that is a bummer. The larger macro systems are pretty fukd up in a lot of ways and it is a grind for most to try to make it work out.
This is why we have our vices to ease the pain.
I suspect mathdotcom will have some constructive commentary to add to this thread.

If you like your work, 50-60 is not that big of a deal. I couldn't sit in an office 40 hours a week, but if I'm out looking at property and talking deals with people, I'm still working.

50-60 to me is no different than 40.
Works not boring. I enjoy it.
After 1 or 2 o'clock, time flies by anyways.
Could be because I'll usually crack a beer if it's hot out around 4

Anyone working more than 1 hour a week is a huge loser
The only thing you admit to by working a job is that your too stupid to figure out how to make money without working.

Used to work 50-60 easily at my sh!tty old job.
Now I work 9-5 every single day, no exceptions. Quality of life is much better, and seem to be much more happy and content. Not making as much, but I'd rather have a lighter bank account and be happy, then a larger one and be miserable a lot of the time.
