    New 60' Sharp Aquos LED
I bought this TV mostly for sports viewing. It is 60' LED 120 Hz 1080p Smart HDTV Sharp Aquos

I have watched allot of Baseball and some Football replays and the motion blur is bad...real bad. Every time a player throws the ball across the diamond or in from the outfield it is very noticeable. For Football games all deep passes show motion blur on the ball.

I spent 1600 on this TV and I am thinking of returning it. Thoughts of a better TV or what the problem would be? I spent allot of money (well for my budget anyways) on this TV and am very dissatisfied with the product because I don't think I should be having any motion blur.

Anyone else have problems with Motion blur with a LED 120 Hz TV?

I was thinking of going with a Vizo. To me in the store the LCD look like a sharper picture to me however LED is the better technology.

I would like some input about this because I can't do the motion blur. I was told 240 Hz refresh is better but then I was told DirecTV does not even broadcast in 240 Hz.

    Thanks guys

Trust your instincts and return this TV ASAP - it's complete junk.

If you have a dark room, plasma is the best option since it handles motion the best - I highly recommend the Panasonic VT series.

If you must have an LCD/LED set due to your room getting lots of ambient light, I suggest trying to find a 55" Vizio True LED 240Hz set - either the XVT553SV or XVT554SV model.

Thanks. I wanted big so opted for the 60' Sharp but the motion blur is crazy for a brand new LED. I must say I did just buy a 55 Samsung that was broke so I returned and and upgraded to this. This would be my 2nd return but I am not satisfied @ all. 1600 is a good amount of $ for me and I am not liking the blur on every throw.

Is Vizo a better brand than Sharp?

Also do they come in bigger than 55'?

I have bought both at Walmart is that the problem?

I don't want to be a TV snob but for that amount of money I would like a product that works. So you are saying the 240 Hz is a must?

Any suggestions on top brands for LED and the specifics involved I should be getting with them? Looking for 60' and up.

Vizio makes a 65" but it's Edge-Lit LED, rather than true backlit LED. Handles motion very well though, but doesn't get black levels like its backlit versions.

Do you belong to a Sams Club or Costco? If not, I'd open a membership with them just for this purchase. They give you a 90 day return period, no questions asked and also extend your warranty to 2 years or 3 years if you buy via AMEX.

I bought my 55" Vizio from Costco and love it. But I had to try and return both a Sony and Samsung before realizing the Vizio was the best picture quality and best value.

Costco currently carries a couple different Vizio, Samsung, and LG models that are 60" plus.

Wow thanks allot. Walmart has a 90 day return policy as well. I just am not seeing crystal clear picture here.

My friend is a member of Sams Club so Ill talk to him about making this purchase.

I kept reading plasma is a dead technology. And LCD is not that great. I opted for LED because I was told and read it was by far the best product

Is there a difference between back lit and edge lit LED TV?

Got a 50" Plasma LG about 4 1/2 years ago.... still has a great screen. Plasma's get a bad rap; plus there none of that motion blur nonsense.

I've got the big Panasonic plasma in the man cave and we have two Vizios over 42" and honestly like the Vizio pictures better.

I bought the new 70 inch Sharp aquos LED this week and i have pleasantly pleased. I have always had pannasonic plasmas or sonys lcd and this sharp has much sharper picture and better looking blu-ray playback.
One suggestion before u retuen the tv would be to find the proper settings for that particular t.v. My new t.v. looked like crap right out of the box until u get it off the factorg settings and what works for your particular room. Check out avsforums. They have great threads that have settings to get u headed in the right direction and u can take it from there.
If u are truely interested in getting the best from your t.v. you should consider having it calibrated by a pro. Not some nerd from best buy, but a legitimate pro. Hands down its money well spent.

I got a samsung 52 inch plasma about a year ago..So far so good. Rooms not dark most of the day and I can't tell a difference.

Dollar for dollar, plasmas are better quality. The high end Sharp ELites are the only ones that are better but they are also much more expensive and you gotta watch them straight on for best pic quality. I am planning on buying the Panasonic 65VT50 for sports.

                                        Trace they make 600 Hz?

What is the price on Plasma now days? Reasonable?

I could have sworn LED's were the best but lots of love for Plasma's on this thread

Also where can you find big Plasma's?

Anything over 60' and price range for them.

                                          What about LCD's?

If you want a nice LED tv then go with the Sony XBR series. If you want a plasma go with a Panasonic or Pioneer Elite. It's simple as that.
