The money was not their money it was money that belonged to people who felt that George was in need of financial support to defend himself against the racist lynch mob that was bringing financial burden upon him.
Those who made donations made them to help aid George in his upcoming legal battle, THE MONEY WAS NOT DONATED TO HIM SO THAT THE STATE OF FLORIDA COULD CHARGE HIM A HIGHER BAIL.

People lie in court every day, very rarely do you see someone charged with perjury. I do not even see this as a lie because these funds are already being taxed by the state of florida and federal government and the money and was not intended to allow the state to charge a higher bail, it is not technically their money it was donated to them for the sole purpose of helping the family cope with the financial burden of being forced into hiding and to soften the blows of attorney fees so that Zimmerman could afford a good attorney.
Absolutely disgusting what is going on down there in Florida and I hope anybody who supports this nonsense finds themselves on the receiving end of blatant legal injustice one day.

This charge will probably stick quicker than George's murder charge....
If she knowingly made false statements about the fund then she is cooked. Regardless of who it may or may not have belonged to.
It would seem that George also would eventually be charged with this crime as well. Altho, he was incarcerated at the time and it could be argued that he didn't "knowingly" make false statements in regards to the said fund.
It just seems to me that the DA has a slam dunk here or they would never have brought this charge.
