If it's just a comparison between these two, then Roy Rogers hands down!......At least they use real beef and not that processed shit that Arbys does!...However, just go to any local pit beef place (they are everywhere) and you'll get the best roast beef sandwich cooked anyway you like it (Rare, medium, well-done)...We have a place called Pit Boys!....For $5, you get a monster sandwich that is packed with beef!...I always get mine medium-rare with onions, mayo, horseradish, salt and pepper!...

When the original Arby's first started out before they got big, they actually had real roast beef that they cut on a slicer for a nice sandwich but you all are right on they now have pressed beef roasts with tons of fat/grease packed in there.

I grew up with Roy Rogers back east and wish they had them out here in Las Vegas. So I have to settle for Arby's BUT I know that Roy's has the better sandwich.

Whenever we have office meetings, I have to make a special request for roast beef sandwiches whenever they cater from the sandwich shop. If I don't , the choices are either ham&cheese, tuna, or chicken something. Seriously? Since when did roast beef become a niche food group? I noticed the same thing in England. A lot of the sandwich counters do not have roast beef.
