Itching after taking hydrocodone..

Taking it due to my shoulder being scoped last week.About 2-3 hours after popping the pills, massive itching man.Does this usually happen with this stuff?

yeah I get painkillers (Oxycodone) sometimes for my migraines and I used to itch the first few times

It goes away after a while.....Doesn't mean you're addicted minet (Just that you have developed some kind of tolerance)

Don't take painkillers every day for a while or one day you will feel really shitty and wonder why, then you take your medicine and you feel great.....Rinse and repeat.....

I just had a hernia operation Monday. Prescribed oxycodone for the pain. It does make me a little itchy, but the not being able to #2 is much worse. Usually doctors prescribe milk of magnesia to go along with pain med, but that stuff don't help too much. I had to get the Ex-Lax flowing to help out.

I usually take a bath when it happens, feels rly cosy and makes me stop think about it Also heard magnesia can help this?

Just take a benadryl 30min before and you wont itch. Jave a better high as well

No joke, used to be addicted to pain killers for 5 years. Was so constipated at work once, I own a restaurant, had to dig the big balls of shit outta my ass with a plastic spoon. Was ******* awful. 2 lessons here, don't get addicted to opiates and use metal cutlery!

Taking an antihistamine like zyrtec/claritin/allegra or benadryl may help with itch...be aware the narcotic & antihistamine may make you drowsy.

And the poster who commented @ the stool softner is 100% correct.

all those class 2 opiates will make you itch. i used to love the "itch". imo, it was a pleasant feeling. also very easy to get addicted to...be careful.
