How many hours you driving a day? About 10? I used to drive 14 hours str8 bit cudnt do it 2 days in a row. Looks like your trip is about 30 hrs total.

Started about 9am this morning, will grab a room late tonight when we are too tired to drive anymore

Whenever I made long road trips I drive no more than 10 hours straight.

When I did Fort Worth, TX to Jacksonville, FL(15 hour drive) last year I stopped in Mobile, Alabama after 9 hours of driving.

When I did Fort Worth, TX to Denver, CO(13 hour drive) last year I stopped in Amarillo after 5.5 hours of driving and then did the last 7.5 to Denver.

When I did Fort Worth, TX to Los Angeles(22 hour drive) last year I stopped twice - once in Albuquerque after 9 hours and in Phoenix after 7.5 hours.

I couldn't understand how you do more than 10 hours straight driving... I would go insane.

I've done 10-12 hours straight from New Orleans to Champaign a couple of times, its not too bad if you have someone else to trade off the driving with.

Good tunes help alot, great to have a fully loaded IPOD

I made all of the drives I listed above alone... AM talk radio is what got me through the drives and audiobooks/iPod when AM talk radio was not on a show I wanted

I really love taking road trips and driving around the country, but only if I can drive no more than 8-9 hours at a time. Part of the fun is actually being able to experience the towns/places you stop in, something you can't do if you are driving constantly.

Plommer has driven to/from Toronto/Tampa many times stopping only briefly to refuel and piss.

If I were Bobby I'd take a little longer to be sure the body was disposed of properly.

Nebraska is brutal. Other than that it's not bad. I drive out west every summer and it's usually 15 hours or so and I do it straight. I did let the GF drive last year once but she got pulled over in Omaha because she got boxed in and the cop said she was driving dangerously slow in the left lane LOL. Never again. Now I have to drive it all by myself.
