Is colonisation really the reason why black Africa is such a shithole?

Cause if im not mistaken the majority of latin American, north African and allot of Asian counteries were also colonised by Europeans. Yet they all seem to be doing relatively good this days while black Africa is still the same shithole it was for the last 10 000 years.

Its not really a dump. People arent very wealthy but they are not starving. When is the last time western nations collected charitymoney for Mexico?

Its seems only Sub-saharan Africa are the only ones that cant produce their own food so they need charity from other nations. Kind of like how African Americans need welfare aid.
