Daniel Chong, a 24 year-old UC San Diego student, was swept up in a drug-raid with 7 of his friends on April 21st and somehow locked in his cell for 5 days without food or water, reports the AP.At some point he drank his own urine and broke the glass in his glasses with his teeth and tried to cut the words "Sorry Mom" into his arm. It sounds like he was going crazy, which is what happens in severe dehydration.From a statement released by the DEA:“Seven suspects were brought to county detention after processing, one was released and the individual in question was accidentally left in one of the cells,” spokeswoman Amy Roderick said.He was finally taken to the hospital on April 25th, and was treated for cramps, dehydration, and a perforated lung suffered after ingesting glass. Chong was finally released several days ago, and his attorney says he will be filing a claim against the federal government.
