thinking about driving to Vegas

Cheaper to fly, but I'm of the mind you can't beat a great road trip for the scenery. I'm down in Houston, only get a weeks vacation of work a year, if I had more I'd be driving to Vegas instead of flying.

Yeah im not worried about cheapest option, otherwise id fly, plan on stopping in a few cities along the way and spending a day or two

I'd get on 70, make stops in St Louis, Kansas City and Colorado Springs on my way there. If you have the time on the way back, go south to Phoenix, get on I10 and check out some awesome desert scenery driving through New Mexico and Texas, maybe stop off in San Antonio and do the river walk.
