Can someone tell me how to put a youtube video in a thread

I have seen videos right in the thread all I know how to do is put the url in the thread and then u would have to click on the url and the reader would be able to go to the youtube page. How do I just include the video right in the thread?

There is a youtube icon up above when you reply to a post, hit that copy and paste the link of your youtube vid and it should play
