I've never been near a tornado. Are they fun like earthquakes or are they scary?

Especially fun for the husband, when he throws the wife and kids outside and he goes down in the cellar and pounds beer.

Shit is getting real.
At least four people have been killed after powerful tornadoes swept through Indiana, state and local officials said.
National Weather Service meteorologist John Gordon earlier said the agency had about "half a dozen reports of tornadoes on the ground" in multiple states, as well as reports of "significant damage."
Two reported twisters touched down in northeast Alabama, where residents were assessing damage to a high school and a prison.
In Tennessee, severe weather was responsible for critically injuring as many as eight people in the cities of Harrison and Oolteweh, officials said.
