Do ASIAN MOVIES just not do it for you?

I've seen tons of movies. In all different languages. Now, I'm not a fan of French at all... but I can get down with some French movies. Some solid shit.

But when watching Asian movies.... just can't do it. They don't do em right and the language(s) just destroys their movies.

When you're saying Asian, you have to be more specific like which country. Since "Asian" can cover a big span such as Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian, etc and there is a big difference in movie quality according to country. So you didnt like Crouching Tiger or Hero? Those were two awesome and very well made action movies. Some of the newer Vietnamese directors make some pretty cool indie dramas like The Owl & Sparrow. I like em and the language doesnt bother me a bit, matter of fact adds more to the authenticity and flavor of the movie.

I would much rather watch some kick ass Asian movie like Hero or Crouching Tiger rather than a French movie. French movies are the ones that suck. I watch a lot of movies as well and even like a lot of independent foreign subtitled movies but I havent seen a good french movie in a while.

Seven Samurai is a very good Japanese movie from the 50's.
