A Question for All MS Excel and CIS Experts Here
My bosses associate came up to me and asked me today where all the company reference numbers I have been inputting into an MS Excel spreadsheet my boss assigned me to do on Friday are going.

Is there anyway I can find this out from my spreadsheet? Basically, without me even knowing, I am inputting these since reference numbers and they are linked to some table which will use them.

How can I find this out?

If I understood you correctly, you want to see which cells use the data after you input it. If this is the case, you can do this through "track dependents". Don't know which version of excel you are using, but in Excel 2007 this is under the formulas tab (in other versions of excel it should also be under some formulas menu).

Then you can click on a cell and then click "track dependents" and arrows will show you all cells that use this data as an input.

    Hope I understood you correctly.

Thank you for your response. Basically my co worker wants to know which database the reference numbers I am inputtimg into Excel are going to. He needs to know which database is using the excel information I am inputting. And yes, it is Excel 2007.

I was thinking more along the lines of an amswer as toif I can track where Excel routes the information to once I input it. If there is any way I can check this.
