the broader issue of IP rights irks me.

Yep. I'm a libertarian and there's even a big debate within different libertarian factions. Ayn Rand is probably the best-known libertarian in the world other than maybe Ron Paul, and I've never read anyone who supports IP rights more strongly than Rand. Austro-libertarians (esp. Stephan Kinsella) are the strongest opponents of IP, and that's who I align myself with. Almost all Democratic and Republican politicians support IP though.

I am looking for a website that I can download music from that will transfer to ITunes. I do not want to waste my money on Apple downloading through ITunes so please share your secrets...
