I can't believe this shit. I buy my two nephews each an American Gold Eagle $50 Gold coin, paying about $1,640 each. I figure the kids can hold onto them for a decade or so and by the time they're ready for college, they might be worth something, maybe 7 or 8 dimes each.
So I ran into my Nephew, and he says mom went to a pawn shop and sold the ******* coins, saying it's better to put the money in their college fund that way.
So I call her and ask what's up. Tell her that with the price of Gold soaring, that the coins are a great investment. ( I have 13 of them.) She gives me the spiel about how the college savings account is a safer investment..wow they get maybe 1.3 percent on their money.
Then I ask her why she doesn't sell some of her considerable Gold and Diamond encrusted Jewelry since she doesn't consider it a worthwhile investment...and the whole conversation just goes south from there.
You can't ever discuss any type of investment strategy with a Gold Digging bitch.
