How do you define a high maintenance girl?

I'm seeing this girl who insists that she's "very high maintenance" on the basis that she needs to fed compliments, and "Wouldn't be okay if you didn't talk to me for a week".

On the other hand, this girl literally spends no money on her hair or makeup, doesn't give a shit about shoes or purses, and is otherwise admittedly a very frugal woman.

So, does this woman sound like she's high maintenance to you?

It could also mean she requires alot of your time, if not your money. Just because she doesn't spend alot of time making herself attractive for you it doesn't mean she wont require you to devote large amounts of time making her feel like she did.
