Want to get into stock markets
Going to try investing in stocks soon and would appreciate some advice.

What site is best for online stock trading? Been looking at etrade and seems like a good place to start.

Any advice for a beginner is much appreciated.

Don't trade on margin till you have more experience. Try to focus on fundamentals.

Scottrade is the best in my opinion. Look for incentives for new customers.

I use TDAmeritrade but have used Scott in the past. I have no complaints on either....but I prefer the layout and customization with TD as far as setting up my charts (RSI and Candles etc).

                Good luck!

You can't possible do too much homework before making an investment. There's an old adage: The smart investors are buying when everyone else is selling, and they're selling when everyone else is buying. Good luck; it's a tough game.

Believe me, I'm doing a lot of research as we speak.

Calls and Puts and other short term investments is how you make money. Buying a stock and holding will do nothing unless you have a lot of money.

Agree with pickle here, have also used both and TD does offer some customization, with that said still currently with Scott due to lower costs involved.

Make sure to read all the fine print, you don't want to be labeled a "day trader" then you would need a larger deposit.

I started with Ameritrade and now with Scott Trade, only cuz it's a little cheaper.
