The video was made in 2004, but the daughter literally just posted the video to reddit yesterday. Less than 24 hours ago. Wonder if the judge has left his house yet today. The irony is classic - beating your daughter for using the Internet, now the Internet is going to ruin his career

Agreed. My parents never punished me physically nor did teachers. I don't have any children of my own but I am a high school teacher and coach soccer. I can't imagine ever punishing the adolescents I teach/coach in anyway physical. Ya, sometimes I'll make a player take a lap or something but that's mostly to let them have a couple minutes so they can think/reflect about what they did and why it's not appropriate. I'll usually talk to them after practice and they'll admit what they did was wrong and they shouldn't do it again. Seriously, fukk this judge adams and anyone like him. People commenting about how the judge's actions are appropriate should lock themselves in their basement and never have human contact ever again.

I think most? of us can remember our parents kicking our ass at least once. Mine was for saying coksucker at my grandparents Xmas table when I was 7 after watching Porky's. Mom told me I was dead meat but waited to do it until I got home. The anticipation was worse than the actual smacking with the wooden spoon... which she broke on my ass and kept in her spoon drawer until she died 17yrs later.

But... even though most of us can shrug off what our parents did now, most of us know in 2011 that this doesn't help a child. My mother was a shrink ffs. Times were different then maybe. But we know better now. No excuse no matter where you were raised, what you believe in, etc... The little I saw of this girl's beating was horrible. It gives me shivers. Just the fact of the guy going to take a piss while the mom and daughter talk about it freaks me out. Go relieve yourself while you prepare to beat the shit out of your daughter.

This really isn't as bad as some of the extreme cases I've worked, but if you don't see it daily, then this is pretty rough.

Worst thing is that this guy is supposedly a judge. He oversees these types of folks, and should be punishing them, which leads you to believe a lot of people probably went unpunished for child abuse in his courthouse.

Judges are ego maniacs too...he may never think he's done wrong. In his twisted head, he's the disciplinary role model that girl needed.

I know it may be tough to believe but Mom seemed like she was trying to protect the girl. She wanted the belt, and wanted to do the hitting, because she knew dads hits were vicious. She's probably a victim of his abuse too. What a dikk.
