    Would you quit for.... Cash???!
I'll start this off by saying. I recently quit smoking cigarettes ( 6-8 months ago) after being a pack a day smoker for 8 years. I tried it all, The patch, gum, cutting down little by little.. nothing worked. Until one day i woke up and decided I wont smoke anymore. This obviously was accompanied with continuous thinking about my health. BY FAR THE HARDEST GOAL IVE ACCOMPLISHED. Intrinsic motivation saved my live.

Unfortunately, my younger brother (22) has not quit.
I do exactly what I used to hate. Every time he picks up a smoke I ask him why is he doing it. Or i Tell him " hey your killing yourself" or " your one cig closer to cancer." To no avail.

    Im considering going another route.

Im willing to offer my brother $500 cash to quit smoking... Yes i know how you cant just drop it. So on the table will be 500 bucks and 6 cigarettes. If he accepts the offer, I will not worry if he smokes behind my back or not. Im sure if he does guilt will eat him up and lead him to quit.

    What do you guys think?

For all the smokers on SBR and i know there's plenty . would you quit smoking for $500 cash and 6 cigarettes??

kick him in the nuts. He will not be able to smoke when he is gasping for air and has both hands on his testicles.

That would be a tempting offer, if I didn't gamble I'd consider it but gambling leads to 90% of my stress, all it would take is one really sick beat and I'd tell you to shove that $500 up your !$#@ and start hot boxing. But it does show you care and who knows he might take you up on the offer.

I quit because I just decided it was time. Did it cold turkey. Been about 7 months. Best time to get him to kick is when he gets the flu and the smell and taste of tobacco is brutal.
