proof of insurance isn't like a dollar bill. even if the proof is destroyed, you still have insurance in force. they wouldn't let you mail it in? if so, that sucks, very inefficient to waste court time on something like that that's easily proven.

hate that shit.. i had a weird year with tickets and ended up going to court 3 times for shit i could have proved with numbers / pictures/ info...

ended up going 4-0 with those cases... it sucks.. missing work.. waking up early.. if u are like my your court isn't in the best of area... paying for parking...

but it beats the points on your license and or the $$$ u loose

It should have been a fix it ticket, show proof of insurance to the agency who wrote the citation and go to the clerks window at the court house and pay the $10.00/$15.00 correction fee and your done. Never ever go to the courthouse in the morning at 8:30AM because that is a waste of time....even though the citation states the date of your appearance and the time, you can appear before.
