I need a new car, and Im not sure what to get. Test drove the Ford Escape. It was okay, but I felt like there wasnt enough room inside.
There are so many options. What do u guys recommend?

You can get practically any 2008 Suburban or 2008 Escalade fully loaded low miles for around 28k. You'd be pimping.

LOL I know what you mean... but you have to decide if it's worth it to you or not??? The way the economy is... you have a little cash on the side... CASH IS KING... these dealers want to get rid of anything. I'm the idiot who bought a 2008 New Suburban at the time. I'm still pissed off at myself. But... I did get a 7 year 75,000 bumper to bumper warranty. That's the only thing I'm happy about. It's been serviced twice already.

Don't know if you're going to find the SUV of your dreams unless you're around $50k..... you might have to purchase used? Just saying. Good luck.

I can tell you a Chevy Equinox is a fairly crappy GM product. And probably around $30K.

Sat in a Hyundai Tucsan...way too small.
The Santa Fe is okay, There is wood gain on the dash, but no where else, which I thought was odd.

Could get a 2010 F-150 CREW CAB for around 30.....employee pricing is killing the resale cost of these things. Bought mine for $32500 (Regularly $48K) brand new. Could probably get a 2010 with less than 15K Miles on it for $28K. Things are huge inside.

I just bought a 2011 sante fe. for 27k with all the bells and whistles. Its nice and big with a surprisingly big trunk. It also has a 10 year warranty that is second to none.

Yup .. we ended up with a 2011 Santa Fe for my wife ... the warranty sold it to us too ... the amount of car that we got for the price compared to all of the other SUV's in the same class made it a no-brainer. We drove 15/20 cars/suv's/crossover/trucks before makign the decision ... if you like a little more "zip" and are not too worried about MPG .. try the xterra too ... much more fun to drive than the Santa Fe .. but mileage was just on par with a truck ...

The Hyundai Veracruz for just a little bit more is also VERY nice.

My girlfriend drives an Escape. Thing is loud as shit on the highway, wind whistling thru the windows even when they're rolled up. Good gas mileage and easy to park after coming from my F-150 tho'.

Is that a bumper to bumper 10 year warranty?? or just a Powertrain warranty? It's totally 2 different warranties.

Bumper to bumper for the first couple of years unless you pay a little extra a month for the full 10 years. Check out consumer report on this car. You wont be disappointed.

But isn't the bumper to bumper still only 10 years / 100,000 kms (or miles)?

                                    Hyundai's Bumper/bumper is 5/60k ... powertrain is 10/100k

Wife generally only drives 10k per year anyway .. so she will be fully covered for 5 years ...at which point she will be ready to trade in anyway probably ... just before the 5yr/60k service that usually costs a few hundred dollars. ;0)

Other one I drove and loved was the Dodge Journey (V6). Wife was not interested though ...
