heroin injection clinics: are American's here (SBR) for or against them?

There is only one in Canada, but I think they should be in all the major Canadian cities. Do any American posters here think they should be in your country? Why or Why not? Do you support the "war on drugs"?

I support them. Drug usage is a health/medical issue; not a criminal one.

Against them. Only cuz if you make it too easy/comfortable, then why stop using? Also I believe in natural selection, it's heartbreaking but some people have to fall between the cracks and we should let them. Take the money they spend on addicts and spend it on orphans. Give those lil fukers a better life.

Prohibition doesn't work. Legalize drugs and let consumers choose between Sam Choice heroin at WalMart or Waleroin at Walgreens or BillyBob's homemade blend at the Farmer's Market.

Keeps junkies from stealing and killing other people for their habits. Insurance rates and crime are high enough. This is one of the best ways to combat it.
