That was apparantly what started it all in Tottenham over the weekend...what is happening now though has nothing to do with that incident and more to do with thugs realising that after that incident that they can get away with looting and rioting so it is happening all over the map.

There definately seems to be some co-ordination going on, supposedly using social media platforms to organise groups to one place or another, but right now it just seems to be typical mob rule as indicents are popping up right round the map and police and emergency services are stretched thin.

An official plan of action from the government is yet to be forthcoming due to the fact that the majority of the top government officials (including the Prime Minister David Cameron, the Mayor of London Boris Johnson and Home Secretary Teresa May) were on holiday when it all started.

Overnight it seems that people in other cities have had some problem with copycat violence with Birmingham, Bristol and Liverpool all reporting incidents (though am surprised Liverpool made the news as I thought burning cars were pretty commonplace up there!).

From a sports point of view, there could well be some games cancelled in the next few days if things dont start to calm down - already talk that the England/Netherlands soccer match might be cancelled and even EPL matches in london may possibly be cancelled as well.

West Ham vs Aldershot and Charlton vs Reading Carling Cup games have already been postponed and I would be very surprised if Millwall vs Plymouth also goes ahead (though no offical word on cancellation yet)

I'm not sure how you judge people's religions by their trakkies and hoodies, but if you were trying to claim 90% of them are Asian, that's certainly not the case from any of the footage I've seen.

I already apologised to him, but when you have people's livelihood and earnings getting burned down, I would expect to not make any stereotypical jokes. Cops need to open fire and take out a few hundred of these violent criminals.

A message needs to be clearly sent that future acts of violence will be met with lethal force.

This will end the riots immediately.

Nothing else will work as the only way to stop hard-core violent criminals like this is to make them terrified of the consequences of their criminal acts.

Its one thing when people are protesting and acting obnoxious and quite another when they take to the streets and start looting and burning down shops.

I sure do want to see those cops in London open fire on these violent animals as all of London will be far better off as a result.
