Really? "Much" faster. I need to install and check it out again, but I highly doubt it is "much" faster then Firefox. I haven't used Chrome in a long ass time, but nothing has swayed me off Firefox yet.
What are your computer specs by the way?

Chrome is pretty good. A bit more "lightweight" vs firefox. I like firefox though. Chrome for laptop. Firefox for desktop.

I thought it might be my computer, as I havent had many problems with Chrome in the past, although it does crash at random times.
I just installed firefox and it is running very smooth. Chrome was freezing when I tried using flash and MLB.tv would freeze up from time to time.
My PC is fairly new, 6gb ram, fast processor, not many programs on it.

Damn i'm heated right now. Just got back from a good night at the casino and find my computer is ****** up. I was using firefox but somehow got persuaded to download the newest ie and google today, idk why. My computer was 100% fine when i left, worked perfectly, i let it download, when i got back i have 3 viruses on my computer according to my antivirus now and i cannot access any of my computer files, i can only use it to browse the web. Can anybody give me any advice on what i should do? I'm not very computer savvy and this is the first time i've ever had a virus. Don't know what do. I'm assuming the viruses came from one of three things i downloaded while away, the new ie, google, and a cd. I disenfected with my antivirus but i still cannot access anything on my computer other then the internet, nothing else works, fml.

Make sure you read so that you know what youre doing first, and then try Combofix. Its an awesome program thats saved my arse a couple of times.
Combofix is a freeware (a legitimate spyware remover created by sUBs), Combofix was designed to scan a computer for known malware, spyware (SurfSideKick, QooLogic, and Look2Me as well as any other combination of the mentioned spyware applications) and remove them, ComboFix allows the manual removal of spyware infections. It's a specialized effective cleaning tool, which [...]Continue reading...

I use Chrome, and the only thing that happens periodically is it will say shockwave or some other plug is unresponsive at times. I usually wait maybe 30 secs or a min & it will go away, but other then that it seems pretty fast for me. I do admit, I have never used FireFox, so I can't compare it to that, only to IE.

To anyone who is savvy with computers,
Does anyone, have knowledge or input on the following programs?
- Advanced System Care 4
- Malewarebytes
- Super AntiSpyware (Free Edition)
- Zonealarm
- Malwarebytes
- IOBit Malware Fighter
Any input or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Also, I should mention, these products are the freeware ones, not the paid versions. If that makes much or any difference at all.

Are you on Windows? Change to Linux and you'll see it won't matter which browser you choose.

If anybody has an old PC/Laptop with low specs just sitting around gathering dust, I highly recommend throwing a copy of Lubuntu on it. I had an old Compaq Presario 1500 laptop, 1.60GHz with 512MB RAM that I never use any more. I installed a copy of Lubuntu on it to check it out and it runs great. Getting my WIFI to run with Ndiswrapper was a snap. This version of Linux gives new life to old crap, lol.
"The minimum memory requirement for running Lubuntu 11.04 is 128 MB of memory. Note that some of your system's memory may be unavailable due to being used by the graphics card.
To use the graphical installer from the live-cd, you need at least 256 MB of memory. You need to use the "Install Lubuntu" entry when you boot the Live-CD.
Systems with less memory need to perform a minimal installation."

I used to run Ubuntu on my slower laptop, I agree that it does make a crappy computer run faster. But I wasnt a big fan of it.
I needed excel and I couldnt run it on their system, open office just didnt cut it for me.
Anyways, 2nd day running Firefox, no crashes or freezes. So far I'm happy.

You can run excel in Linux. Use Crossover or your best bet is just run it in on a VM.
