Anyone else watch HBO's Game of Thrones???

It's the easily the best new show on TV!!!

After watching all the episodes last month I just started the 4th book, and I'm not even someone who reads a lot of books, or a dungeons and dragons type nerd either.

I was sad when the first season ended. I definitely dig the show. I like that it's not super magic with wizards and shit.

Didn't know about the books. I'm going to get those on the nook.

I'd definitely recommend reading the books!!!

Seriously I'm the last person you'd think would read fantasy stuff like that..... playing hockey, gambling, watching football and smoking pot are my favorite things to do. But for the last 2 months all I've been doing is reading these books

Best show right now by far. True blood is really good but they've gotten into some child style that I'm hating. Bad thing of reading the books is that the tv will never be better than your imagination so you'll be dissapointed when the time for season 2 comes.

Yeah, but I wasn't about to wait a year to find out what happens.

If I were to tell you what happens to some of the characters you'd think I was making it up!!

And I watched the show first before reading the books, so most of what I imagine while reading is based on what I saw in the show.

Since each season is based on 1 book it will be another 3 years before I see what I'm reading in book 4 on TV. I could be dead in 3 years, so it was an easy decision to read the books. Plus HBO has a history of canceling shows with good rating based on financial reasons. Deadwood had great ratings but was too expensive to produce so they canceled it. Plus Boardwalk Empire is also big time dollars to make. I wouldn't be surprised if after season 2 of Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones one of them is canceled

Awesome show and I also bought the books right after watching what happened at the end of the first season - not had much time to read them lately as currently in the middle of 2 other books, but I am a pretty quick reader usually so once I find the time then shouldnt take me long

Use bit torrent and copy to a wd live hub, it's really popular and the live hub plays everything.

It comes off flat in many parts. Major characters die off unfulfilled. Ned Stark was supposed to be some hero, but he achieved nothing, then gets killed. Lots of presumed "epicness" and not a lot to show for it

People who haven't read the books need to get used to the idea that the hero often gets served a turd sandwich when playing the "Game of Thrones "

That's part of what makes it unique is that the "heroes" aren't necessarily victorious.
