Create a value proposition and communicate it every second you can. Ex: "we have the best service, blah blah".

If you can't compete on costs then compete on service or value - but, be able to articulate it quickly and with confidence.

Worst mistake I made when younger was taking every nickel and dime job even though I wasn't profiting. It's a good strategy if you're starting and need referrals - but it can't last.
