I wanted to know if there any other DT fanatics in here? What does everyone think about DT post Mike Portnoy and what they think about the new single that was released this week. Carpe Diem!

mp is good but overrated.dream theater is my favourite band.
the new single, first time listening to it i thought to myself it sucked. now after 100+ listens,the song ranks in the top 5 all time dream theater songs.
mangini is a beast.

the only part of the new song that sucks is the rudess section at about 2:13.
song rank for me is 9/10

Didn´t know they had a new single already so thanks for the heads up. And the song is really fantastic! When they don´t get too a**l they´re rarely anything but brilliant and this is really accessible.

Have lost them a bit lately and haven´t really given "Black clouds..." a fair chance which is strange considering what a masterpiece "Systematic..." was.

Depends on what kind of rock you like......Scenes from a Memory is a CLASSIC, but Train of Thought is my personal favorite because I like the harder edged shit

MP is a genius behind the kit, DT is not one of my top 10 favorite bands but their playing is phenomenal
